I'm moodled

Well, I am moodled! With minimal delay, the isp techie has got me up and running. Now all I need is to get my moodle helper to explain how I get out of the parse error message that pops up every time I try 2 specific things. When I get to the bit about setting up guest passwords, it will be advised on the MIH site. Forget about the vetsa classroom. I have a bigger and deeper sandpit of my own to play in. The student survey is up and being trialled with 6 guineapigs specially selected because they are such nice helpful people. Once the survey passes muster, I will post it on the moodle site as the first activity for everyone. For AQTF purposes there is now a major revamp of the induction material to be done. What fun!
When I get a photo worth uploading, then the MIH site will be first. On with the show.

one step closer

The techie and the isp are moving. My website might be moodled by as soon as the beginning of Nov (this year, not next). I have created my first survey monkey survey and emailed it to a few select guineapigs. If any of the MIH team had an email address I could use, they could be included in the survey. The next step will be to set the survey up for the wider, intended audience which is my client database. When the moodle is complete, the details will be in the forum section of our MIH group. Hope that things are going well for all the other MIH'ers.

gtwt welcomes moodle

In a fortuitous meeting at a local event, my moodle tech person was introduced to my isp tech person to sort out the mechanics of adding moodle to my own website. I told them what I was after and let them sort it out. Those technicalities I can do without. The local small isp has all the right connections to make this possible more easily than they believed. When I am challenged, I like challenging others alongside of me! This decision to go with my own moodle site is only because Peter is already running a whole school system with it, lives locally, and vetsa has taken so long to respond to my registration request - no answer after 13 days. That, plus by this time next year it will most likely not be there anymore as well.....
The digital story progresses. I have now mastered the burning of it to dvd so that it will play on any dvd player or computer. Thankyou iMovie and iDVD and Apple of course!!!!! Last step is to get it uploaded onto something like MIH's site or where-ever. Only problem is time.

update

I am back.
Since last time I have been playing with many of the new tools heard about at the conference. I was particularly intrigued by Alex Hayes' phone/camera/mp3player etc etc I asked the local dealer about it. and how much it would cost. He was somehwat surprised I had asked. This particular model is not due for release in aust til dec 05!! How did this techno dummy even know about it?? i did not feel so blond after all. Way out of my price range though somewhere near $1000. Keep dreaming and buying lotto tickets.

I am on air!

It took me so long to get here, it's too late to night to do any more.
